Savvy siblings!!

Someone who made me realize what it means to be without your loved ones. Little did i know that my life would be so dull without her. Little did i understand, how much she suffered, when i thought she wanted to gain the max. of mom's love. After her surgery,a lightning struck me what if she never came back, what would have happened if she had to suffer all an unknown reason, how would my life be if she is not by my side?? These thoughts brought thunders down my brain & body. I have shared with her the most wonderful and sad moments. Shez my younger sibling, always been caring, loving, possessive, etc... i could just add on, all that an elder sis would do for me. Shez the naughtiest, one who irritates me to the limit and people beware one needs to have loads of patience (phew!) be it shopping or her anger or watever! We both fight a lot but when mom interferes, we both are on each others side. :) Our relationship is such a wonderful one that am out of words to explain it. And to tell the truth, have seen/heard people envy us (touchwood). Wassay sis? Love you lots dear and wish u always be my side no matter wat! And i promise to be there anytime you turnaround for something :)

Moments Cherished!

It was mid December i had joined SSi for a 2 yrs course . The first day of the class, three of us waiting for the faculty to turn up. Half an hour late our first tutor turns up. He was to teach us HTML. We introduced each other and he striked a comment that three goddesses are here, the 3 students were Lakshmi(myself), Gauri and Vidya. Not to miss the most important person's name, the faculty who taught us was Joreson(Tutor turned brother).
We had created a good rapport with all the faculty members in SSi. Joreson was then the Technical leader at SSi(Mulund branch). His birthday was coming closer, the first week of august, we were invited for his birthday, he had asked to tie him rakhi. That was a wish turning true moment. How did god know that i yearned for brotherly love, support, care and confidence? All my friends had a brother of their own and i had none. From then its been 8 years now, i dont know if in real such precious relationships can be maintained so well (Touchwood). I am proud to have him as my brother dearest.
To tell u more about Joreson, hez now working in Oracle,Hyderabad. Married to wonderful person, thats my bhabhi. She acknowledges our relationship, and is a very sweet person and both bhaiyya & bhabhi are very much a part of our family.

There are many more moments that i cherish and they play an important role in ameliorating my life.. There are times when i chuckle into a laugh when i remember his silly acts. God bless bhaiyya & bhabhi. And i pray that i always be a very good sister to him.

Da Vinci Code!

I read the novel "Da Vinci Code" the second time last week. I found cryptology and language of symbols catching an interest in me. I never knew symbols had so much of covert connotation to them. The cryptic texts and the symbols that lead the main characters in the story to the place where the holy grail is buried is so well written that anyone would want to learn more about symbols, veiled messages in paintings , breaking cryptic codes , using devices like cryptexes etc.
I decided to blog elements that made me gaze, from the novel, and they are:

Priory of Sion:
The Priory of Sion is a secret society which held the secrets of the Holy Grail.

The knights Templar:
The Poor Fellow-Soldiers of Christ and of the Temple of Solomon, popularly known as the Knights Templar or the Order of the Temple, were among the most famous of the Christian military orders.

Opus Dei:
Opus Dei, formally known as The Prelature of the Holy Cross and Opus Dei, is a personal prelature of the Catholic church that teaches the Catholic belief that everyone is called to holiness and that ordinary life is a path to sanctity. The Opus Dei prelature is made up of ordinary lay people and secular priests governed by a prelate. Opus Dei is Latin for "Work of God", and the organization is sometimes known simply as "the Work".

Secret of the Holy Grail, by the Priory of Sion:

The painting depicts as if Leonardo knew that Mary Magdalene(Jesus's wife) was actually the Holy Grail. This is said to be reinforced by the letter "V" that is created with the bodily positions of Jesus and Mary, whic is supposedly the symbol of the sacred feminine.Mary Magdalene carried the bloodline of Christ when Jesus was crucified. The secret was hidden by the priory in a secret crypt beneath Rosslyn Chapel.

Anagrams:
An anagram is a type of word play, the result of rearranging the letters of a word or phrase to produce other words, using all the original letters exactly once; e.g., Eleven plus two=Twelve plus one, A Decimal Point=I'm a Dot in Place, Astronomers=Moon Starers. There are four anagrams used in the book, one is the Fibonacci sequence out of order, second and third are "O, Draconian devil!" and "Oh, lame saint!" for "Leonardo da Vinci" and "The Mona Lisa". The fourth "So dark the con of Man" being an anagram for "Madonna of the Rocks".

Cryptex:

The cryptex is a combination of two words "Cryptology" and "Codex" , an apt word for the device. The cryptex works "much like a bicycle's combination lock", and if one arranges the disks to spell out the correct password, "the tumblers inside align, and the entire cylinder slides apart" . In the inner compartment of the cryptex, secret information can be hidden, written on a scroll of thin papyrus wrapped around a fragile vial of vinegar as a security measure: if one does not know the password but tries to pry the cryptex open by force, the vial will break and the vinegar will dissolve the papyrus before it can be read.In the story two cryptexes had to be opened. It is claimed the original design came from the secret diaries of Leonardo Da Vinci.

The characters in the novel had to open two cryptexes and the passwords had to be broken from two riddles.

Clue:
An ancient word of wisdom

a headstone praised by templars is the key

and Atbash will reveal the truth to thee.
Answer: S-O-F-I-A

A headstone by templars is the key: Baphomet. In Atbash, BPVMT. Changing the letters in the code, ShVPYA; Sophia. Previously, "Sofia" (Wisdom).

Riddle #2 (Black Cryptex)
Clue:
In London lies a knight a Pope interred.

His labor's fruit a Holy wrath incurred.

You seek the orb that ought be on his tomb.

It speaks of Rosy flesh and seeded womb.
Answer: A-P-P-L-E

An apple fell on Sir Isaac Newton (knight that Alexander Pope interred). An apple has red (Rosy) flesh and seeds in its core (seeded womb), and is also a member of the rose family.

The Star of David:

The two interlocking triangles are the "blade" and "chalice", i.e., male and female symbols.The grail was once buried below The Star of David.

Nine and three quarters!!!

Its been a while that i am crossing the z-bridge(as it is called) to reach my office. The z-bridge, rumoured as unsafe by quite a lot of people ever since my office shifted to matunga road(Thanks to my colleagues who have never made me feel the bridge unsafe). So the bridge is one of the longest bridge i have ever come across, maybe bcuz the sunrays directly fall on the bridge at any point of time till its night which makes me dizzy and tired. Everytime i cross the bridge a single thought crosses my mind," when will i reach the other end of it".

The bridge is built at the Matunga Station. The bridge starts from Matunga station till it reaches Tulsi pipe road also known as Tulsi pipe line.The bridge goes alongside the Railway workshop and so covers a number of tracks below. It rather looks like a rectangular 'Z' shaped box with the tops off. It looks like the rectangular boxes put together at certain points.

Now how does Nine and three quarters relate to the z-bridge???

Today on my way to office, while crossing the bridge, i just remembered the platform nine and three quarters. Thats the platform from where Harry Potter boards the train to Hogwarts. I somehow felt that both the platform and bridge are related. And it takes me long 15mins to cross that bridge, which suddenly made me think if there was some nine and three quarters bridge that would directly get me to the Tulsi pipe road or at the circle thats just a minute from my office.

Harrypotter series have made such a great impact on me, i sometimes feel bad that i am born as a muggle or maybe i havent yet realesed what my magical powers are or may be i am half blood. Although i realize that the muggle world and the magical world have their own pros and cons.

I never knew stories could make such a big impact on lives. I really wish if i had studied at hogwarts, was a good friend of harry potter, help him fight "The one who must not be named" etc etc. Aah! is it really possible?
