Social Networking Fritters

Which are the popular social networking sites in India? Facebook, Orkut, Twitter, Hi5 & so many more. I receive invitations of a new SN site every other day. You wanna squander your precious time just login and the timer starts. The purpose behind the SN sites is to catch up with long lost friends, dating, hacking, communities etc. Though people use it to overcome their mental and phsycological situations too. This actually helps to show off and create interest to know what the other person is doing. Testimonials with long love stories. Why does one want to publicize love?
Fake userids of popular figures. What not? Anything you name and you can find it there. Think of ambiguity and the next name will be of FB. FB is one SN site filled with enough confusion to let people go mad. And still they love it. It takes a hell to understand whats happenning where until you get a hand on it. Thousands of updates in the form of comments, publishing new activities, playing games, variety of quizzes among also these are the banner ads which are clicked by mistake not knowing whether it was an ad or some new application of facebook. FB has lots of addictive virtual games buy, sell, hit, run etc and the toppers in the favorites list are Farmville, Mafia Wars, Rollercoaster Tycoon, Cafeworld, YoVille etc. I think zynga games have known the secret to make their players glued to the games. I still play farmville realizing I am spending so much time just to harvest my crops, plow, seed etc. I don't know whether in reality I would do something like that. Keep muttering to myself if you want to waste time start playing games on FB. I realized there are so many other things to deluge in life its better not to doodle on the PC Screen for hours going around a social networking site.

After 9 months!

I know you guys might think what after nine months? No its not what just propped up in your mind.;) I am talking about the 9 months I was a housewife. For the first time I could imagine how my mom feels staying all day alone at home doing the insistent household chores, waiting for her husband and kids.
I remember Dec,1st was the first day of my role as a home maker. Cooked food, cleaned the house and rest of the day was spent watching the Idiot Box, surfing net etc. This started to be my routine stuff. Slowly boredom started creeping in. A temporary solution was joining the 3D Animation class. Besides, I also started looking out for a new job. Like sprinkling salt over the burnt, every offer that I received required me to relocate to a different city.
This phase made me realize the importance of being employed. It's not just about getting monthly income but there are many strings attached to it like financial independence, exposure, personality development etc.
A must say, this period was a good enough time for me to accustom to the new life. Learn t a good deal of palakkad iyer cooking. Got a chance to visit Singapore without wasting my leaves.
Today I have a wonderful and exciting job, but I have made sacrifices for the same.
There are legitimate pros and cons in being a home maker and/or being employed. I feel as on today that every woman should be at least financially independent and smart enough to live life on her own if a situation ever arises.(No Offense To Anyone):) And I think at least every house wife will support me in this.

Left my world

Finally I left home
Finally I left my world
A new set of responsibilities
A new crowd to meet
Things have changed,
People have changed.
Miss them so much that I can't change.
Like never before have I felt
Today, Tomorrow and day-after the same
Every change new to me.
My home my world I miss u so much.
My heart aches to leave my world behind

Me the Arian, U the Leo and Hum the ???

Thinking about horoscopes, astrology, star signs, Sun signs and moon signs, they play such an important role in our lives. People who believe tend to live every aspect of their life like it says. I fall among the ones who believe but don’t depend on it. It does sometimes act as a part of recreation. I like to hear what my stars say about me, my characteristics, my lifestyle etc. Maybe bcuz I know mine is one of the best horoscopes with the stars and moons falling at the right houses etc... Ahem not boasting but heard this from my parents and grand parents, now they can’t be telling false right ;-)

Now for more details into our birth chart, the date and time of birth play an important role for the oracle to tell our fortunes with a detailed analysis. A minor mistake can transform your life, though one may find it not matching to the occurrences in life but the mind tends to reconcile the aspects with what he said. Something that I don’t find logical is how can one know the exact time of birth well the first sapling in the womb is also a new life and also our venture into the world by giving a crackling smile to our mom’s is also a new birth , its so difficult to ascertain the time of birth.

Now there are different types of astrologers we have visited for finding the right groom, career, etc... I know just three of them

1. Naadijyotisyar,

 2. Panikkers and

3. Social Worker astrologers

Naadijyotisyar is one who checks the Naadi (Pulse rate of your body) or takes a thumb impression with the help of which he can predict your future, present and past.

They generally have this wooden leaf called as Olai which is supposed to contain all information about us like about our parents, life partner, family affairs, relations, karma, lifestyle, etc And I have found to be true to 80% with regards to me. And this is supposed to be one of the best form of astrology which gives 90% of the right predicaments.

Panikkers are basically Keralite astrologers who envisage using the age-old method called Kavadi – it’s done by placing the shells after chanting some mantras in a random order based on some calculations. Then on the basis of placement of shells they are able to foretell the incidents. Their expertise is generally used to get rid of bad or evil karma. They would explain the cause for such happenings and endow with a list of pariharams which is done to cancel the effect. This way it’s easy for them to mint money as most of the deeds are performed by them, which includes their fee, taxes, commission etc. This policy is nowadays followed by every professional fortune-teller. Some are asked to wear different stone studded rings/pendants to pacify the bad effects like a Gomedhak for Rahu, Yellow sapphire for Guru, Blue sapphire for Shani, or to bring in changes in their behaviour like pearl to bring peace to heart, reduce anger etc... And people do follow these spending lots on the precious stones as well as the fee though it also adds to the beauty.

The third ones are the social workers cum astrologers found very easily at everyone’s disposal. Of these some are really talented with their predicaments while some just brush off many things. They do this as a service and people in return gift them with effect to the good events that happen.  Take for example my Mom-in-law she is a classic astrologer. Astrology is in her genes and she is very good at that. I do sometimes take her review when I am venturing in to a new task. She gives all her advice related to the right day, right time and so on.  And she is quite popular in our locality Kudos MIL!

While here’s my husband who is very much interested in star signs, guess he too has the astrology thingy in his genes. Well I never told my sixth sense is very strong ;-) Did I? So one might thing what’s the Arian and Leo doing in the title? Well I am an Arian and my hubby is a Leo and so I just thought when its hum what would be the new member’s star, date, or time? :-)

Reach out to me!

Having been a loyal airtel customer I am sad to say today I had to move over to Vodafone due to the declining network quality in Mumbai. Today my vodafone number got activated and I can feel my phone come back to life. Tring! Tring! Arrival of SMSes as well as calls from my near and dear ones. Feel great to see my phone active again! Airtel number was the one I suggested everyone and now I keep telling all that the service has fallen. Never have I had a bad experience with them. Alas!! Here the relationship ends :(

I have received so many vintage calls in this number be it my Job Offer or my hubby's or mom's or Sissy or dad's or bhaiyya's , phew! the list just gets longer. I had been emotionally attached to it (SOB!). Humph! emotional attachments kept aside, I also adored the number coz it totalled to "One" the number of a Leader albeit my new number wanted me to be lucky and it luckily totalled up to my lucky number "Seven".

Sigh! Now that I am a vodafone cusmy(customer :P), hope to receive propitious calls and SMSes hereon! Cheers
